Then Eurymachus tries to convince Odysseus not to kill the rest of them, but Odysseus does not listen and killed Eurymachus next. Then Odysseus killed Amohinomous after that. During the battle Telemachus leaves to get armor and more weapons for Odysseus, the swineherd and the cowherd. After Telemachus returns to battle, Melanthius, the goatherd, sneaks into the strong-room where the weapons were and takes some for the Suitors showing great disloyalty to Odysseus, which he later gets punished for. Odyssues and friends continue to attack to Suitors and are now joined by Athene disguised as Mentor. When most Suitors are killed Athene tells Odysseus that he is not fighting lkike he used to in Troy; he has changed in some way. The Suitors organize themselves and fight a little better, but Odysseus and his men fight them off and kill them. During the fight, Odysseus is stopped by Leodus and Phemius who beg him not to kill them, but he kills Leodus anyways because he is guilty, but he does not kill Phemius or Medon because they did no wrong to him. After the Suitors were finished off, Odysseus calls forth Euryclia and has her brign him the guilty maids so he can hang them. Finally Odysseus takes Melamthius and cuts off his body parts because he was such a traitor. After the battle is finally all over, Odysseus orders a fire to be made and that the palace be cleaned from the fight. Odysseus cries because he is so happy to finally be home and safe.
